Crem ONE HX Overview
The Crem ONE HX PID is a heat exchanger espresso machine that improves on the design of the legendary Expobar Office Lever, featuring an SGS certification which is equivalent to an NSF certification, making it suitable for use in commercial environments. Its modern appearance was what first caught our attention: contemporary angles, clean lines, an digital display just above the E61 group, half-turn knobs, a double manometer, customizable side panels, the metallic feet—it’s a look that’s familiar, but fundamentally reimagined. Even down to the name, the ONE is a confident machine and it has every reason to be.
Features and Performance
For features, there’s a lot to admire. For the HX model, the PID display doubles as a shot timer. The 1.7 liter copper boiler is capped by brass end plates and, as a heat exchange machine, you can expect to brew and steam at the same time. The steam and hot water wands are no-burn, and the knobs only need half a turn to open up their respective valves. The ONE HX PID uses a vibration pump and, incredibly, it’s plumbable so you can connect directly to your water line, which is something most vibration pump machines are incapable of.
