ECM WDT Tool Overview
WDT tools are essential tools for good puck prep and proper espresso extraction. The ECM WDT tool uses a set of eight quality steel needles to break up clumps and distribute fines in your portafilter before tamping. This can help to reduce channeling during extraction and result in a more balanced and even extraction. The needles themselves are light and springy to avoid scratching the inside of the portafilter basket. In keeping with ECM’s commitment to premium quality, the handle of the tool is made of powder coated stainless steel and decorated with the ECM logo.
To get the most from the WDT tool, it works best when used in conjunction with the ECM dosing funnel to prevent grounds from falling over the sides of the portafilter.
